Ways to curl hair with a curling iron?

I have really short hair. I am new to this. Anyways do you curl all your hair or just curl the top part? how long does it take you to curl your hair? do you absolutely have to use hair spray? is a 1.5 inch barrel or a 1 inch barrel good for long or short hair ?Ways to curl hair with a curling iron?
you do not have to use hair spray at all


just use a straightner

um... u can do both either all or top i would go with all and 1'; barrel yes because if u dont use hairspray the curls would fall and not stay as a curl
curl all of your hair because it will look weird if you only do the top. it will probably take about 20-30 minutes. i don't think you have to use hairspray but it depends on your hair texture. if it holds curls well, then you don't have to use hairspray but if curls fall our of your hair easily, then you do. i would use a 1 inch. it will fit more curls into your hair, since it's short.
