What to do with my hair?!?

I have incredibly difficult to work with hair. It's very thin, and is about medium-short length. It's naturally sort of wavy, but I prefer straightening it because it's fast and easy to do with my hair. But no matter how much hair spray, curlers, curling irons, or defusing I use my hair does not hold curls. For special occasions I never know what to do with my hair because I have no ideas and nothing it will hold. I have two weddings coming up this summer, a trip to New York, and then Homecoming next year and I need some ideas. Maybe something involving braids, and just creative hair styles plus better ways to help my hair hold curl would be great. Thanks! What to do with my hair?!?
When you hair is wet, use some kind of curling gel or cream (nothing heavy or it will weigh your hair down) Only use about a dime to quarter sized amount. Put curlers in your hair while it's wet, let it dry (maybe overnight) and then once it's dry, spray it with hair spray. Take the curlers out one by one and spray each one as it comes out (don't soak it though lol). Then, once you've got all the curls out, flip you head (and hair) upside down and spray with hair spray. You could try that. Doing that would last atleast an hour I would think. What to do with my hair?!?
i totally know how you feel. I have the same problem except that my hair doesn't do curls becuase its really thick. I would talk to your hair cutter/dresser and see if they have any ideas. Otherwise try using a curling iron after you spray your hair with hairspray that might give it a better chance of staying. Good luck!
An easy way to hold curls is to either french braid your hair and leave it in for awhile...or get the curl scrunch gel and to apply you wet your hair get a towel and dry a little..comb it...apply the gel...scrunch it add mouse and they add hairspary...
try clip in curls, or a wig. no matter what, don't perm your hair if it's thin. I did that, and my hair hasn't been the same since, it just got finer.
U like just described my hair! I got a hair piece for like 20 bucks and it works well for special occasions. Mine's curly and I can use it as a bun or a pony or just use the top of my hair and use it as a half pony.

As for holding curls... REALLY STRONG HAIR SPRAY! and start by spraying ALL of your hair pretty heavily, then curl it, and after each curl, spray it again. Once ur done, spray it all AGAIN! u'll go through Hair spray fast, but it works for me. I use Aussie spray cuz it smells really good too and it's not too strong when u use a lot.
