Help for fine, thin straight hair!?

i have been growing it out, trying to figure out how to curl it, braid it cute, etc. and cannot seem to get it. so i am thinking of now cutting it very short. like this

but then i would have to figure out how to add texture and use pomade... but i feel like short hair would be much easier to manage on a beach and all i'd have to do is pin it back...or do absolutely nothing at all!!!

so... how would i get texture and/or body for a short hairstyle like that? which products should i use? how would you make it wavy or messy?

and, IF i keep it long, i am trying to figure out how to get wavy TEXTURED hair. not really super wavy curly hair with a curling iron. i am going for a look like these girls

so for now, before i go ahead and cut it off, how do i do this?Help for fine, thin straight hair!?

If you cut it short, you get hairspray, not the hard stuff, I use pantene Level 2. And you spray your wet hair at the roots then you blow dry, scrunching and messing up your hair while you dry it. Once dried, then you put more hairspray in and scrunch somemore. Then you curl the top hair to fit the look you are looking for. I have a short do. I use bees wax from sally's, too! It's like 2 something for a can and it works without making my hair hard.

For the long hair, you can just let it air dry. Wash your hair, and air dry and it will get like the pics. But remember, thin hair will tangle up more the longer it gets. I opted for the short due for the beach. Have fun!
