Should i cut my hair short like this?

okay so this is what my hair currently looks like:

i hate it because i could cover it with products and it is still frizzy, which makes it look damaged and not healthy. it's dirty blonde by the way. and its REALLLLY thick and a pain in the butt to take care of!


for a while now i have wanted short hair but i have some reasons why i don't want to cut it:


-you can do more stuff with long hair


-the style i want to get it cut like doesn't look good unless straightened %26amp; i get pretty lazy and i dont want it to be really damaged


-i cant ';fix'; it by getting extensions(im 14 mom won't let me)


-prom is next year and i've always wanted long hair for that.


-i dont really like straightening my hair and this style won't look good with my waves or by curling it with curling iron


-i need to be able to get it in a pony tail


-i don't want to hate it :( but i don't want to keep my boring hair just cause im scared





pros of this style:


-I FREAKING LOVE IT!


-i love how it's edgy and it will make my face look more mature


-my hair is boring and at an awkward length

It would work, but I would work on your hair color and use conditioner (or buy a better product) because your hair looks dry in the picture (not sure if that is how it normally looks or not...Should i cut my hair short like this?
I personally think you'd look great with short hair, especially because of your bone structure in your face. I know how it feels to have really long hair and get it all cut off, I just got mine about a month ago and I'm so happy I did. As for the heat damage, I can also relate, I have naturally curly hair and often straighten it, but you can keep your hair healthy by using heat protection sprays and using conditioner. I say cut it. You'll be happy you did.

Yes, go for it! you have a lovely shape face and your hair 'drowns' it at the moment. It will look much prettier !


If you have a slightly longer version you will still be able to put it up and curl it etc.
I hate to say this, but no. If you're not willing to straighten it regularly, then I don't recommend you get this cut. In the past I've made the mistake of cutting my wavy hair short because I liked the style and it was an absolute nightmare. If you hair is wavy and unmanageable now, it'll be even worse shorter because your hair won't be weighed down (it'll spring up and poof out in ways you don't want).





Instead, you can try comprimising by cutting your hair to your shoulders. Ask your stylist to layer your hair too. This will help tame your hair and also give it some style and shape.
i suggest you cut your hair because you will look prettier than now and you will look older. Since prom is next year, don't cut it after this cut and if you like it than keep.
